Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to plan your trip, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime. The longer, properly-worded version is below.
In plain terms
- Contact details you give us — name, email, dates.
- Booking notes like dietary needs and group size.
- Basic site analytics, anonymised.
What we collect
When you send a booking request or newsletter signup, we collect your name, email address, preferred dates and whatever trip details you choose to share — group size, dietary requirements, that sort of thing. If you call or visit the studio, we keep the notes our planners write so we don't ask you the same questions twice.
We don't collect payment card numbers ourselves — deposits are processed by our payment partner, and we only ever see a confirmation. We also log anonymous, aggregate site usage (pages visited, rough region) to see which trips people actually read about.
What we deliberately don't collect
No location tracking, no advertising profiles, no buying third-party data. If it isn't needed to plan your trip or improve the site, we don't want it.
How we use it
Your details go to exactly one place: the planning team. We use them to draft itineraries, confirm availability with guides and venues, and stay in touch about your booking. Newsletter emails go only to people who subscribed, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
When a booking involves a partner — a lodge, a casino hotel, a heli operator — we share only what they need: your name, dates and relevant requirements. Never your full contact history, never your email for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for seven years because New Zealand tax law asks us to. Trip enquiry emails that never turn into bookings are cleared out yearly. Newsletter data lives until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email us at feelgoodadventures@gmail.com with "privacy request" in the subject and we'll sort it within 20 working days — usually much faster.
If you're not happy with how we've handled things, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. We hope you'll tell us first so we can fix it.
Quick actions
- See your data — email us, subject "privacy request".
- Delete your data — same address, "delete me".
- Unsubscribe — link at the bottom of every email.
