The deal between you and Feel Good Adventures — written as plainly as we could manage while keeping our lawyer happy.
Bookings & payment
A booking request is just that — a request. Nothing is confirmed until we've checked availability and you've paid the 20% deposit that holds your dates. The balance is due 14 days before departure.
Prices on the site are "from" prices in New Zealand dollars and shift with season, group size and accommodation choices. Your confirmed quote is the number that counts.
Changes by us
Weather, track closures and partner availability sometimes force changes. We'll always offer the closest equivalent we can — and if we can't, you get a full refund or a free reschedule. Your call.
The short version
- 20% deposit to confirm, balance 14 days out.
- Full refund up to 14 days before.
- Free reschedule up to 48 hours before.
Cancellations & changes by you
Life happens — tell us as soon as you can:
- 14+ days out: full refund, no drama.
- 48h – 14 days: free reschedule, or a credit note for the deposit.
- Under 48h: we'll do our best, but partner costs usually mean partial refunds only.
Travel insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended — Fiordland weather doesn't read itineraries.
Your side of the deal
Be honest on the booking form — especially about fitness levels and health conditions that matter on a trail. Guides may adjust a route if they judge it unsafe for the group; that's their call and it's final on the day.
Our hosted evening products — casino hotel stays and casino events — are strictly 18+. Venues check ID at the door and their house rules apply throughout the evening.
Liability
We hold all required NZ operator licences and public liability cover. Adventure activities carry inherent risk — you accept reasonable risks as described in your pre-trip briefing, and our liability is limited to what NZ law allows us to limit.
Bring ID
A valid photo ID is required for all evening products — and honestly, for most tastings on the Wānaka route too.
